Kalindi is a youth mentor and youth advocate. She is currently studying Youth Work, and is active in the youth sector as a volunteer, assisting with mentoring, community social media pages, activities and events. Kalindi also holds a Bachelor of Film Production.
At the 2023 Australia Day Awards, Kalindi was recognised with an Honourable Mention in the Volunteer of the Year - Individual category for her dedicated contributions in areas such as flood recovery, youth mentoring, and community events.
Kalindi assisted in the 2022 floods (The largest recorded flood in Murwillumbah's history) and went on to complete multiple courses in emergency management and welfare services.
Kalindi successfully advocated for the construction of the Tyalgum Village Skatepark, for which she involved the local youth to have a voice and a vote. Gathering input from community members, she has been advocating for the installation of lights and cameras at the Murwillumbah Skatepark for the past few years.
